B.B.Q. (A Western Concept Comic Prologue)

B.B.Q. is the story of a buckaroo in the most traditional sense. They are a wanderer who raises and transports bison while offering passage to the worthy. B.B.Q. prefers to keep their past hidden, hence their clothing concealing their scars and features. Rather than make use of a six-shooter, they adorn themselves with barbed wire accessories and weapons. Ultimately this appearance and weaponry serves a dual-purpose to this figure. To some, they are a wayward spirit fighting against lawless men; to others, they are an interloper on the land they earned. This is but one piece of the legend.

B.B.Q. (A Quickdraw Intro)

Page 1

Two cowboys have their backs turned against each other. On the sheriff’s side are cowering women and some gunmen. On the masked and heavily dressed cowboy’s side are bison in the distance.

The cowboys make steps away from each other. The sheriff reaches for his gun. The opposing cowboy is in the line of sight of a sniper. Some of the gunmen move into position readying their weapons at the other cowboy. A bruised kid is hiding behind a barrel, covering his mouth in fear.

As soon as the minute hand moves, both cowboys make their move. As the sheriff goes for his gun, the opposing cowboy flicks their finger. Suddenly the sheriff, sniper, and gunmen are struck by a sudden swipe of prepared barbed wire. This causes them to shoot each other, in the foot, or get caught in uncomfortable positions.

The cowboy then lashes a whip made of barbed wire out of their sleeve. They ensnare the sheriff’s hand causing his revolver to drop. The cowboy drags the sheriff towards them before tying the sheriff in wire. The cowboy walks to a stable.

Inside the stable is a white buffalo with patches of fur missing. The cowboy brandishes a club covered in barbed wire. They bash a gunman behind them and then throw the knife end at a knife user trying to run away. The knife man tries to remove the club from his arm but hurts himself touching the barbed wire.

The cowboy walks the white buffalo outside. Some sounds are heard from one direction, but the cowboy turns the other way. Two more bandits run up where the cowboy turned but hurt themselves on caltrops.

The bandits making sounds to distract the cowboy attempt to light some dynamite, hearing a fuse sound. A pack of dynamite sticks wrapped in barbed wire falls down from the roof above them. The explosion causes shrapnel to pierce their flesh.

The cowboy passes a bounty hunter who carefully picks up the sheriff who salutes the cowboy off. A wanted poster in the bounty hunter’s has the sheriff’s face on it. At a barbed wire fence, the cowboy cuts the wire by pinching it with a wire meshed glove. The cowboy invites the kid from before in.
