About Fracadactyl

Comic books, the medium that people get their movies from, but never acknowledge because the comics are so misunderstood. Maybe that is why fans like them so much, because they are just as misunderstood. I know I felt that way at different parts of my life; now I want to share with everyone how I express myself through comics and how the medium communicates with them. But let me introduce myself because Fracadactyl is just a persona. He might not be able to fight demons but he does help me discover myself.

Hi everybody, I’m Jake. I’m a writer who likes to have fun with comics; theories, comparing and contrasting, and a fan favorite in how creators go about developing their comics. Best of all, one post can be somebody’s first just like a comic book. If you are a first-timer or someone who has followed me since this blog was somewhere else; that’s okay too, it just means that you’ve seen how everything grows.

I love sharing my work with others including Comic Tropes and a few other blogs like Law and the Multiverse. I mean I’m still just a guy who likes writing about and for comics.

Comics In The Eyes of Fracadactyl the Gutternaut

Like many people I was often intimidated by comics given the decades worth of content and never knowing when to start. But at the same time, I really just want to get to know how comics present themselves, especially since I spent most of the time reading manga. But just reading stuff is not enough, there is a reason these stories and characters have stood the test of time.

After going through a couple of panels, I finally began to enjoy the stories. Yet I could also see where they faltered. I would think of ways to retell how something would go. I thought of a bunch of stuff to talk with friends and eventually I decided to put it all in writing. Not to mention like the creators I liked to cover, I found out more about myself as I kept reading and writing. Now I want to share what I love to do with all of you.
